These 1-day courses are presented back-to-back in order to give you the option of attending either or both courses, depending on your needs.
The Electric Industry Fundamentals course is targeted at those who are relatively new to the electric power industry and wish to gain an understanding of the components that make up its value chain. Each component, which includes generation, transmission and distribution, is presented in the context of the Canadian electric industry to give an appreciation of the characteristics and dynamics unique to the energy commodity and physical operations.
The Electric Industry Restructuring course presents concepts and the driving forces for reform and improved market designs needed to restructure the electric industry. The course will provide you with recent learnings from the Canadian, U.S. and European markets and insight on how organizations can be commercially viable in a competitive electric market.
