The 2nd edition of Mozambique Mining and Energy Conference & Showcase (MMEC 2010) will continue to showcase, promote and explore developments in Mozambique’s minerals and energy resources, organized jointly by ENH and AME Trade Ltd. The event will act as a platform to establish business partnerships and discover the potential opportunities in the mining, oil and gas and Power sectors, and also look into the lessons learned by key investors and current projects, developments, and challenges in these sectors.
Despite the global economic downturn, Mozambique’s real GDP growth is forecast to remain strong at 4.8% in 2009 and 5.2% in 2010; significant progress to foster accountability and transparency has also been made in the regulatory framework (new tax and labor code) overall Mozambique Mining and Energy sector remains an attractive investment for companies operating in the extractive industries.
