Fundamentals of Horizontal Well Design & Application for Asset Teams

November 5, 2009 - December 4, 2009
Downtown Calgary Classroom
Calgary
Alberta
Canada

This 5-day intensive course will provide participants (Asset team G&G and reservoir/production professionals, D&C operational staff, management, and key service providers) an appreciation of the crucial multidiscipline aspect of optimized horizontal (and more complex development well) applications. It has been offered more than 250 times globally, providing a practical "big picture" of all the disciplines, issues, and team functions inherent in screening, assessing value-added, and implementation, and will address the "decision-making" process from candidate screening through multi-well development and work-over operations.

In addition, the course will cover advanced technical options of horizontal well site-specific design, including multi-branch, MPD (Managed Pressure Drilling), ERD, CBM, UTG, SAGD, and advanced stimulation/intervention options. The course features hands-on training with computer models utilizing actual field data, includes numerous recent field examples, and provides a unique core-competency cross-training experience to assist asset teams in optimally applying complex, (horizontal and multi-branch) well technology to produce more oil and gas faster, cheaper, and for maximum social benefit.

A complete set of course materials and lunches are included.
