The WellCAP Drilling Well Control Certification course addresses basic principles and theory of well control. The most commonly used well control techniques are presented. This program meets industry guidelines and certification is awarded upon successful completion at Introductory, Fundamental and Supervisory levels. Simulators are used to conduct hands-on training for personnel attending this course. For course length at our permanent locations, check the training schedule.

Course content: Pressure Basics, Kick Theory, Causes of Kicks, Complications, Shut-in Procedures, Fluids, Kick Warning Signs, Killsheets, BOP Equipment, Constant Bottomhole Pressure Methods, Regulations, Subsea (if requested), Stripping and a brief discussion on Snubbing.
